Atchik-Realtime is a European company providing mobile communities and entertainment services to mobile operators worldwide. It was founded in 1999 by the team responsible for launching several world premiere mobile services: the first mobile payment application, the first Over The Air directory update, and the first mobile chat service, at the innovative Danish mobile operator Mobilix.
About Our Company
After seeing the successful take-up of these groundbreaking services by end users, they decided to form their own company dedicated to Value Added Services for mobile operators. The company's chat & entertainment services quickly showed huge market potential and hence defined the path down which the company decided to focus.
Still driving the company today, the founders (English, French, and Icelandic) have created a multi-cultural team of specialists in mobile community management and associated technologies.
Atchik-Realtime has been initially backed by venture funds. Since November 2009 it has been privately owned by the management team together with the leading Danish private equity fund LD Equity.
The company is Headquartered in Denmark and has offices in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
